SWITCH SKILLS 2009.11.09

While watching someone skate, you can usually point out the switch tricks that are scattered throughout their video part. You know, a switch heel here, switch 180 over a rail, the normal stuff. But when it comes to these guys, watching them skate is as confusing and mind boggling as ever.

Brian Wenning
Wenning is one of the masters of switch skating today. Even to this day, if you look at his parts on YouTube, kids still think that he's goofy instead of regular. His parts from Photosynthesis and The DC Video are both classics, and whatever he decides to drop next should be sick as well. His switch back tail, big spin out at the end of his part in Photosynthesis is just too good. Peep it here:

Stefan Janoski
Stefan's switch skills are enough to make anyone jealous. He's just so smooth and flawless you can't help but envy him. If his classic parts from Habitat's Inhabitants and Transworld's Subtleties are any indication of what's to come, then we're in for a real treat.

Paul Rodriguez

As if landing all of his regular tricks perfectly all of the time wasn't enough, P Rod has to go ahead and land all of his switch tricks bolts as well. If you watch him skate enough, you?ll definitely start to confuse yourself. See for yourself here:

Keenan Milton
The master of all things switch, Keenan Milton had it all. Keenan had his switch tricks on lock so hard that when you watched him skate, you could've sworn that he was regular footed. Watch his parts in the early Girl and Chocolate videos, and you'll see what we mean. He was truly ahead of his time, and who knows what level he'd be at right now. Chances are that he'd be killing it for sure!

Bob Burnquist
While the previous four mentioned above grace the streets with their switch skills, Bob is doing the same thing on the Mega Ramp. It's a known fact that Bob is one of the best at skating switch on a vert ramp. Even dating back to the early Anti-Hero videos of the mid 90s, Bob was doing tech vert tricks switch long before it was a common thing to see. Fast forward about ten years, and Bob now has a Mega Ramp in his backyard. An while it was common knowledge that he had one, no one really knew what tricks he was doing on it. Well, with the release of Flips' Extremely Sorry, we now know what Bob has been up to, and it's completely safe to say that he?s out of his mind. If you haven't picked up the video yet, we highly recommend you do so. Prepare to have your mind blown.
