BIGGEST OLLIES 2009.09.21

Huge ollies, whether they're in a magazine or in a video, always catch you by surprise. It might be a huge double set spanning two pages of a magazine, or it could be footage of someone charging at who knows what, only to have the camera zoom out and reveal a massive set that's about to be attempted. Regardless, it take a lot of blood, sweat, and guts to attempt this stuff, so lets give it up for these guys.

Ali Boulala, 25 stair ollie
Ali seriously gets worked trying to ollie this set that closed out his part in Flip's Sorry . The impact of this ollie was so huge that his board pretty much just explodes upon impact. If Ali was at 100% health today, there's no doubt that he'd probably give it another shot. Get well soon, Ali -- everyone wants to see you land it!

Corey Duffel, Huge Double Set Ollie
Straight up, Corey Duffel is probably the gnarliest person in skateboarding. Not only did he stick this massive double set ollie, but he's been known to skate while injured as well (two broken wrists, anyone?). There's no doubt that Corey will continue to push the limits of what can be done, and he'll most likely be going bigger the next time we see a part from him.

Gareth Stehr, That's Life
Gareth is another one of those dudes that is constantly throwing himself down bigger gaps and stairs every time we see new footage of him. This ollie from That's Life was definitely one of the most memorable tricks in the video. We're not sure how he powered through the wheel bite when he lands, but that just goes to show how big this set is.

Josh Kasper, The Storm
This one might surprise some people, but Josh Kasper really threw down in his part in The Storm. Although he might've had about 5 songs and ollied over a DJ spinning records, it doesn't take away from the fact that he pulled some ridiculous tricks.

Jamie Thomas, Leap of Faith Attempt
Probably one of the greatest tricks ever attempted, Jamie Thomas attempted to land about a 20 foot drop in Zero's Thrill of it All. It would later be coined the "Leap of Faith", gaining Jamie and Zero tons of respect and admiration from his peers.
